The ISUB1000-F40 is a versatile, high-precision Ultrasonic Distance Sensor designed to meet the rigorous demands of industrial automation. With a detection range of up to 1 meter and a robust 200kHz frequency, this sensor serves as a critical component for automated logistics, fluid management, and reliable object detection.
It operates not only as a continuous measuring device but also as a high-performance Proximity Switch. Unlike standard cylindrical sensors, the ISUB1000-F40 features a unique axially rotatable sensing head. Since the sensor emits an asymmetric sound cone (with different beam widths on the X and Y axes), this design allows users to rotate the probe to align the optimal detection field with the target application—without changing the mounting bracket.

1. Conveyor Parcel Volume Detection (Dimensioning)
In automated sorting and smart warehousing, the ISUB1000-F40 ensures precise dimensional measurement of parcels on moving conveyor belts. The rotatable head is a game-changer here: users can align the narrow beam axis along the belt to precisely separate closely spaced packages, or align the wide beam axis across the belt to ensure full coverage. Combined with its built-in synchronization function (preventing crosstalk), it reliably captures box contours, height, and volume regardless of the target's color (black) or transparency (film).
2. Reliable Proximity Switching & Object Detection
Functioning as a superior alternative to traditional optical switches, this sensor offers stable presence detection in challenging environments. It excels at detecting transparent materials (like glass or plastic film), dark objects (such as rubber tires), and irregular surfaces that typically confuse photoelectric sensors. The ability to adjust the beam orientation helps avoid false echoes from surrounding machinery rails, making it ideal for collision prevention and position control.
3. Industrial Level Measurement
For fluid and bulk solid monitoring, the ISUB1000 acts as a dependable level sensor. The rotatable head allows for installation in narrow tanks or silos, where the beam can be oriented to avoid sidewall interference.
